Seeking Peace

On the 2nd of November Andrew’s piece ‘Everyone Sang’ for SATB choir, children’s chorus, soparno soloist, orchestral ensemble, and church bells was performed as part of the commemorative event ‘Seeking Peace’. The piece is a setting of the Siegfried Sassoon poem ‘Everyone Sang’ and the German lullaby ‘Der Mond ist aufgegangen’. The evening was a collaborative event jointly organised by the Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Edinburgh, St Andrew’s & St George’s West Church and the German speaking congregation in Edinburgh. The piece was performed by the choir of St Andrew’s & St George’s West, the children’s choir of the German speaking congregation, Carine Tinney, the Cantilena Orchestra, the bellringing team from St Andrew’s & St George’s West, and was directed by Brigitte Harris.
